David L. Loberg, age 84, of Bock, Minnesota passed away on Saturday, December 28th, 2024.
Dave was born January 21, 1940 in St. Louis Park MN to Violet Olson and Albert Loberg. Upon graduation from high school, Dave enlisted in the U.S. Navy. In 1961, Dave married Genevieve Pinske, and their son, James A. Loberg, was born thereafter. 17 years later, in 1978, Dave married Valerie (Kroll) Reilly. Upon retirement, after many years of driving truck, he and Val moved to Bock, MN from Minnetonka. MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents Violet and Albert, siblings Albert, Anita, Eugene and beloved wife Val. He is survived by sons James (Estrella) Loberg and Michael Reilly, grandchildren Crystal and Andrea, great-grandchildren Kaiden and Valentina, along with in-laws Hilary and Kenn Kroll, Marsha and Terry Mason. Dave was blessed with many nieces and nephews, along with multitudes of friends.
Dave had the desire and love of meeting and talking to any person he met. Dave enjoyed listening to the story each person carries in life. Dave listened with no judgment, only a desire to hear their story.
Funeral services were held Thursday, January 2, 2025 at 1 PM at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca. Visitation took place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment with full military honors followed at Borgholm Cemetery near Bock, Minnesota.
A luncheon followed at The Dirty Blonde Bar & Grill in Bock, following interment. Everyone was welcome to join the family and to share in David's life.

Dave and I were very close friends . We grew up together in the Oak Hill neighborhood. I usually call him by phone on his birthday . This time his granddaughter answered the phone and informed me that he had passed away . I'll miss him . Rest in peace Dave .
