In Memory

Judson Judd Moller

Judson Judd Moller

Judson (Jud) Twite Moller was born in 1939 and passed away on December 5, 2017 from complications due to kidney cancer.  This entry was made on January 19, 2021, because we had completely lost track of Jud ever since our high school graduation, and only now have we discovered information that has surfaced from his nephew, Craig Leaf, who contacted us through this class website and offered to provide a picture and information for us to use to bring closure to our dearly departed classmate.

Craig Leaf's mother is Marilynn Moller, the sister of Jud Moller, and he also is, interestingly, the son of our classmate Ernest Eidsmore.  Thus, we have also learned new information from Craig about Ernie Eidsmore, which we have placed in Ernie's "In Memory" notice which is also posted on this website.  You can find Ernie's "In Memory" notice in this link for the year 1995 when we know that Ernie died.

Jud Moller was Craig Leaf's uncle.  Jud lived in Minneapolis several years after our high school graduation and spent the last 40-some years in Boise, Idaho.  He attended the University of Minnesota, earning a BS Degree in Economics in 1962.  A post-graduate career in sales preceded a career as a stockbroker at multiple brokerage firms over the years.  He worked many years for Merrill Lynch, and before that he worked for EF Hutton, Hornblower and Weeks.  In 1979 Judson's career took him to Boise, ID where he resided until his passing.

He was married twice and had two children with the first marriage.  They are cousins to Craig, and are named Marilynn and Mark.  Marilynn is about three years younger than Craig.  When they were growing up, Craig thought of Marilynn as a sister.

Jud was an avid golfer, bowler, birdwatcher and wildlife enthusiast.  He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family and was a passionate sports fan of both Minnesota and Boise State University teams.  Jud was also a person who enjoyed gambling.  He played in lots of poker games and made many bets on all sorts of sporting games.

He previously served as President of the Idaho Seniors Golf Association.

Jud was a very kind soul in to others in his later years.  He will be remembered for his humor, especially his puns and wordplay, as well as his infamous one-liners.  He also remained a HUGE Vikings Football Team fan his whole life.

He told others a fun story about his office in Boise, ID, where he had come to hire the great Twins Baseball legend, Harmon Killebrew, to work for him, in between baseball seasons and before Harmon's retirement from baseball altogether.  Jud always said to his family that Harmon was not the best financial advisor; subsequently, Harmon didn't stay long in the financial business.

We are grateful for Jud's nephew for providing the above late-life photo of Jud along with the information shared above.

I did not know Judd very well, a smile and pleasant disposition.  It's interesting "the rest of the Story" about the connection!  Appreciated the update. Kurt  Schleicher
