Debra Tollefsbol (Novak)

Debra Ann Tollefsbol Novak was born August 24, 1940 in Minneapolis.  She died of cancer on April 20, 2010 in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.  She had been fighting this cancer for some time and classmates had been following her struggle and her story on the Caringbridge website maintained for her.  Friends from far and wide had been making encouraging comments for many weeks.  Classmates living in other states, having heard about Debbie's condition, had been engaged in the Prayer-Links feature of this website, and had been praying for her recovery.  Debbie passed away calmly with her family at her bedside.  The Lord wanted Debbie at this time, despite the longings of her husband, Wally.  She was a wonderful mother and friend and will be truly missed.  The picture of Debbie and Wally, shown above, was taken at their 25th wedding aniversary.

Debbie lived all her life in St. Louis Park.  She is survived by husband Wally; Children, Ray (Mary) Stafford, Rick (Kris) Stafford, Rob Stafford, Barry (Beth) Novak, Chrys (Dave) McConnell and Nancy (Jim) Boryczka.  Debbie has 14 Grandchildren, and 1 Great-grandchild.  She has a brother, Dennis (Carol) Tollefsbol and sister Darlene (Rich) Kidwell; also many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.  You may remember that Debbie was first married to Jim Stafford, of the St. Louis Park Class of 1957.

Debbie's interment is in the Westwood Lutheran Columbarium in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.
