Hamline Ave. Private family interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Roseville Memorial Chapel 651-631-2727.

Karen was one of the most sincere classmates we ever knew.  Back in high school, Karen was a member of G.A.A., our band, and Blue Tri all three years - sophomore, junior and senior years.  In our senior year Karen sang in the Senior Chorus.

Karen had been living in Roseville, MN for the past 44 years, and had done part-time work out of her home office for many years, but being a volunteer in many organizations has been her primary interest.  Not unexpectedly, Karen's large family has been a great joy to her and her husband, Joe, and they spent many hours watching their children and grandchildren play in all the usual sporting activities in which they participated.

We are grateful that classmate Al Thompson spotted Karen Norwall Daninger’s obituary notice in the StarTribune this past week, and was shocked when he saw her name in the newspaper, because he had just been in contact with Karen only days earlier.  Al had been a frequent Facebook friend with Karen for the last couple of years via Facebook.  They grew up together in the Oak Hill neighborhood on Sumpter Avenue, just 3 doors apart, and just a few doors down from another one of our deceased classmates, Mike Storm.  Al used to visit frequently with both Karen and Mike when they were growing up in that Oak Hill area.  Al indicates that he will miss Karen, as we all will.  Apparently, she passed suddenly, with no warning for friends or family.

Sweet Karen was in band with me and played clarinet. She was kind and thoughtful to all.
Karen had a friendly, welcoming smile to anyone she encountered. I can imagine she was a wonderful mom and volunteer in her community. The world needs more people with her spirit. May God bless her family at this very sad time.

I was shocked to hear of Karen's passing. I had been in contact with Karen just a few days before her passing via Facebook. She was a personal friend as well . Karen grew up in the Oak Hill neighborhood. Just a few houses from our deceased classmate Mike Storm .i would occasionally visit with both of them . Many fond memories of the old neighborhood will not be forgotten. Rest in peace Karen .
