David Andreen

David Andreen

David J. Andreen was born on February 17, 1940 and passed away on April 17, 2007 of unknown causes.  We understand he lived in Texas the last fifteen years of his life.

David was first married to Jan Laurant, who, when she read this notice, was unaware of Dave's passing and made inquiry to us for additional information, for she had lost contact with Dave for many years.  Jan and Dave were married in April of 1961 in Benson, MN; they lived in St. Louis Park and Hopkins before leaving Minnesota in 1971.  They moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where Dave worked as a police officer and then in sales.  They had two sons -- David, born in 1962, and Steven, born in 1964.  Son David has one son, Justin, born in 1985, and who would be a grandson to Dave.

While in Phoenix, Dave married Linda.  We have been in touch with Linda Andreen; but after Dave left Phoenix, she lost touch with him and remains unaware of any contact Dave have had with his sons and grandson, although she says that he was always very proud of them all.

Dave left Arizona in 1977 and moved to Wyoming, then lived in Las Vegas, returned to Arizona, and finally left for Texas.  His sons had both lost contact with their father as well as had Jan Laurant.  Jan says they have not heard from Dave since he left Arizona 32 years ago. Jan did tell us that at their wedding, our classmate Ernie Eidsmore had served as Dave's best man.  She wondered if we had any information about Ernie, and whether or not Dave had kept in contact with Ernie.  We had to sadly inform her that Ernie Eidsmore had also passed away, in 1995.  So we knew nothing of any contact the two of them may have maintained.

We received a second notice, presumably from a friend of David, Darsi Axford, who also is an aquaintance of Jan, and who inquired as well about David Andreen's cause of death and his whereabouts for the past years.  Both Jan and Darsi expressed some relief in knowing of Dave's passing, and will likely inform his two sons.  But they said this obituary notice was not the way Dave's sons wanted to find out that their father was deceased.

As far as we have been able to ascertain David was married at least three times; it is unfortunate when one loses contact with those who once loved us and who one obviously loved in return.

Should anyone read this obituary notice, and has additional information about David Andreen's life, his work, hobbies, family and other information, we invite them to post a comment here or contact us using the "Contact Us" link on this website.  We will be glad to add good and useful information to our "In Memory" statement about our classmate, David Andreen.
